Wayne Coakley, a long–time resident of Grove City since 1992, is the founder of Grove City Shop Local. He and his wife, Tess, have been married since 1990 and have raised four boys, who are now men. For 25 years, Coakley ran WACO Financial alongside his parents, before opening Grenade Marketing Agency in 2015. He has been helping business owners increase sales and customers through paid advertising, reputation marketing, custom websites, and other highly effective marketing strategies. Coakley was a member of the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce from 2016 to 2022, and was its president in 2020. In 2023, he was honored with the “Spirit of the Chamber” award. Grove City Shop Local is his free community resource, intended to help connect consumers to local area businesses. It is not intended to be a tourism site, but a resource for local residents and businesses to promote their events and showcase promotions.
